protests (especially during the 70s), if Drumpt fires Mueller? I know protests have been planned. I think it will take sustained actions for the Reich Wing in Congress to do anything. Maybe not even then.

(6,377 posts)2. Honestly, no.
It should, but it won't. Difference is that thousands of people were dying when it came to the Vietnam War. It was a much more visible problem than firing Mueller, which causes a massive reaction.

(12,862 posts)4. That is also my concern. Getting sent to Vietnam with the possibility of coming home in a box,
tended to concentrate the mind and the will.

Going to demonstrations now days its 70% grey hairs and 30% young, it seems and entire generation is missing.
During the Vietnam years we would stay inside (mostly) during the winter and when spring came everyone would come to the protests, it was a rite of spring. Since we all knew people who were going or likely to be drafted it was easy to get numbers even in conservative colleges in conservative cities.
The walks against the guns will draw some, firing of Mueller will bring out a one week eruption then people will go back to work and school.
