Hey President Trump:

Forget Mueller. I have just one question for you. This question was asked of thousands of people all over America for decades. If you get it right you can stay, if you get it wrong you must resign and take Pence with you.

As I said, thousands were asked this question by government officials. Ready? Here goes:

How many bubbles are in a bar of soap?

Hot water or cold water? Soft water or hard water? Actual soap or syndet bar? Economy brand or name brand, or boutique brand?

Given my background in surfactants i could not adequately answer that question without those variables supplied.

I've been working on the chemistry, reaction and phase/physical, of surfactants for a LONG time. I have to know about 1000 people in the cleaning products business around the world from companies, both big and small, premium and economy.

Soap is a surfactant, but less effective, especially in hard water than detergents. Chemically they're different and almost nobody knows it. Well, let's be honest, nobody really cares either, except for geeks like me.

It is an interesting field and it's something everyone needs to keep clean, and the stuff in consumer products is nearly 100% biodegradable, so there's not a giant negative impact on water and air.

I suppose that's better than pesticides and herbicides.
