compared to what will happen when the Trump/Stormy video hits the innertubes. Apparently, there's a CD containing it safely stored in a safe somewhere.

(10,126 posts)that could take a bunch of the sting out of the last 18 months because laughter is good medicine and the man has sickened me.
I'm under no illusions in that a full cure won't arrive until he's out of office and we've undone all the damage he has done.
Something humiliating is in order for this repignant (new word for Trump) pussy grabber.

(7,947 posts)I was intrigued, I admit it! But it took about 2 minutes for me to become profoundly bored. I think they needed a director, better lighting, a more interesting setting, and some props. Conflict and dialogue might have helped too. It's weird to think of a sex tape as "vapid," but it was just that. Vacant, vapid.

Which is when Harding's wedding night video tape was released -- more than ten years before YouTube even existed.
Sure some people saw the video tape, but it wasn't talked about that much. The still photos published around the same time in Penthouse got some attention.
But "viral"? No, no one remembers that going "viral."

(6,930 posts)I do not remember viral being a thing in those days at all. This op is the first i have heard about any such video. I cannot imagine being interested in something like that, then or now. Much less actually remembering it lol!

(146,318 posts)I was using the Internet in 1994. I was also using CompuServe and GEnie at the same time. YouTube isn't the only way videos have been distributed online, by any means. Viral just means that word of something and how to access that something spread rapidly online. That video did just that. It appeared first on porn websites. They existed in 1994. Then, it started showing up pretty much everywhere files could be downloaded.
For the time period, it most certainly went viral. It's just that there weren't as many people using the system at that time. I launched my first business website in 1994. I also operated a popular BBS system, and had been for years. Nobody who heard of that video had any trouble viewing it if they wanted to.
People were online before the Internet became what it has become today. Lots of people. Viral means today that more people are involved. That's all.

I don't mind if this dvd, if there is one, brings down his presidency. But I'd rather Mueller take out him and Pence in one fell swoop.

(118,709 posts)could not get through it. And Nancy kerrigan's attack was a blip in the movie. Which is how Tonya saw it, I guess. So upsetting.
