Trump moves to ban most transgender troops

President Donald Trump on Friday issued orders to ban transgender troops from serving in the military except in select cases — following through on a controversial pledge last year that has been under review by the Pentagon and fought out in the courts.

The memorandum, filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle, states that while the Secretary of Defense and other executive branch officials will have some latitude in implementing the policy, "persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria – including individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery – are disqualified from military service except under limited circumstances.”

Sorry, that's the cleanest I can come up with. And I would also say "Fuck you too" to the Log Cabin Republican at CPAC that was on Mike Singorile's show a few weeks ago that said "Trump is the most pro-LGBTQ President ever"

Are transgendered still active militarily?

Are they compelled to leave their posts and fly/travel home? On their dime?

Are they honorably discharged? What about their pensions? Access to VA healthcare?

What if there's a stay or an injunction? What happens then?

Mattis, who was "expected" to recommend that transgender troops be allowed to serve, in my opinion was just blowing smoke! Mattis was told exactly what his recommendation was going to be, and like the good Marine he's reported to be, he followed his orders.
