If you had bonded the Facebook app with your contact list, then yeah, that'll happen. If you didn't (or didn't use messenger at all) then that information isn't there.

The messenger app was designed to basically "bond" with your phone to provide blend your FB contact list with your phone contact list. It was all pretty much described in it - which is why I never utilized it.

on my cell phone?

Oh, wait, I get it. People use their phones to do FB.

I am more and more content with a dumb phone, and despite various people urging me to get a smart one, I'm going to hold off for a while longer.

The app asks if you wanted to merge your contact list with FB's contact list so it could connect you to more people. It was something that it promoted but people just couldn't understand and clicked YES without thinking.

I still have my flip phone and I love it...actually I think there are many who will return to them in favor of smart phones that aren't that smart!

I still use it on my PC, but it was just too invasive on my phone. I hope that keeps my calls & messages away.
