So here we are today - about to watch the children

and the parents led by the children as they show the world that 'YES WE CAN' organize nationally and say 'ENOUGH' to the producers of death - the gun manufacturers and the politicians owned by them.

Those pink pussy hats from day one of this administration showed everyone that resistance is the only option against these fascists.

Thank you in advance young folks and everyone else supporting them.

In a way, this has very little to do with Trump, and much more to do with the vast corruption of the Republican Party.

I like that slogan, isn't that the truth. Little did they know the GOP they hit a major nerve in Americans.

i so want to be there. but our county democratic convention has been planned for ages and it's at the same time, and i'm a delegate. so i'm wearing my #March4OurLives shirt to the convention and i'll catch the march later on cspan. i'll probably be following it on twitter throughout the day too.

they give me hope. the future is bright now.

Another good thing about today is that NBC is providing coverage not just on cable but on local channels.
Local 10 Florida has been very good since this slaughter of innocents at Parkland.

We have been resisting but the kids have taken over - succession planning is the best way to solve problems.

Go young people - take over.

Thanks to them for instilling a tiny bit of hope in my jaded heart.

I'm just getting organized to head out the door. Downtown Flint parking is free on Saturdays, which is SO convenient and there is a huge lot just about a block from the rally site - a big reason to arrive early. I'm lucky that our Farmer's Market is right across the street from the site so I'm heading out early to pick up a few things. Then I'll head to the venue and see if they need any help.

We will be lucky if it reaches 40 degrees, today, but we have abundant sunshine. The organizers just emailed and said we are expecting a good crowd. I'll be taking photos.

Yikes - got to find my sunglasses!

kids, young adults, college students, oil workers, teachers, principals, cops, firefighters, paramedics, working citizens, retired citizens, folks from in and out of town - we don't start till 3:00 p.m. ADT and I can't "march" (broken pelvis & on wheels) but I'll make it on wheels as long as spouse is willing to push! All the usual culprits will be there - city and borough (county) elected officials, even the Ruffed Grouse Society is showing up! I would not doubt that every musher within 75 miles will bring at least part of their teams, and everyone who has a dog will have puppy there, too!

This is the most inspiring, heartwarming and hopeful protest I've seen in forever. YOU GO KIDS!

The sculpture is great and represents the "first family" of the area. The second is the webcam in the plaza itself but you'll have to click on the link. It's to our promo folks in the borough, and therefore supposedly secure!
