For many folks, the "Share" option is missing from some posts. It appears there for the usser who posted it, but for everyone else, it's just gone. I noted that it also seems to be related to photos more.
ok, I know I need my tinfoil now.
Is it any coincidence that it happens the day of the MARCH? When people attending and following would want to "Share" epic pics of the day?
I need to step away form the computer, right?

(22,357 posts)friends-only. Sharing something from someone's page that is "friends only" for that person isn't helpful to Facebook or you, because the people who could have seen the item -- friends that you and the original poster have in common -- would have seen it already when the original poster put it up.

(13,360 posts)...the friends only option has nothing to do with it. neither does 'friends-of-friends' and not posting public also doesn't mean FB can't see the post.

Dont think its a conspiracy. Too many pix of marches all over with the ability to share.

(13,360 posts)but many of my friends are seeing it as well, and they are from different states all over.
which also begs the question, how many people identified as Liberals (either by themselves or by FB algorithyms) are having this issue, etc?
I feel like that kid in the back of the car in the intro to Super Troopers, lmao

(13,360 posts)yeah, I can see that feeling a bit weird. Especially since we were effectively told this week the Russians have access to flip the switch on most of our infrastructure...

(24,259 posts)FB has been intermittently a bit more glitchy for me for two days in other annoying ways but I consider that SNAFU.

(13,360 posts)Maybe because of recent issues and news about Cambridge Analytica, russian bots and other data-mining. Fb is trying to make itself "safer" for the users.
If you believe that I have some Real estate to sell ya too...
Funny, I've been scoffing at the call here to close and delete FB. Thinking it's not THAT bad or likely someone is up in MY business. I mean, what does it matter, there's a million ways my activity is tracked everywhere, right?
...I'm reconsidering my electronic footprint now. I don't share a lot from my phone and have many of those things turned off, but my home computer is probably an open door...
