Why does anyone put a microphone in front of his pie hole? Is there anyone more irrelevant in American politics today? Hes humiliated himself and his party, yet he keeps winding up on the tv machine saying more stupid things. Go away, Rick. Please, for the love of god, just go away!

(5,241 posts)but it seems to me Faux News' time has come and gone. Old tired commentators with a rapidly dying core audience. Rick is the best example of this.

(54,447 posts)The guy has nothing original to say, is not very bright, does not make women swoon with desire, has the sense of humor of an autistic tadpole, and doesn't even represent the radical right with any great degree of creativity. He doesn't even deserve severance pay. Why should someone get severance pay if they were never truly there to start with?

(10,844 posts)Except for a 30-second clip where he says something ridiculous, in this case ghoulish and stupid. It's just another distraction, a waste of airtime so a failed politician can pretend he's relevant.
To anything.

(3,439 posts)...yesterday, he represented the nra instead of extending a Christian hand to children (ages 15 to 18 ) who experienced a horrific tragedy ...a kind and compassionate tone was required, yet he chose to denigrate and mock them. What a pathetic person!
Santforum is a proud member of the NRA who in his short tenure as us senator (two terms 1995-2097) received approx 96,702 in contributions from gun lobby. As a member, is it required to advocate for 2nd Amendment, advertise to keep A+ rating? Is he currently a paid consultant for the NRA as he is wth cnn? He doesn't go away because he still has political aspirations even though he failed at securing third term as senator; failed at presidential bid in 2016.

ADEL, Iowa - Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum ...
....Dressed in blaze orange with a baseball cap stitched with the letters NRA, Santorum told reporters after bagging at least four birds: I make the argument that theres nobody whos done more for the Second Amendment and been stronger on that issue than I have.

3. Former Senator Rick Santorum (R - Penn.)
Santorum and his wife, Karen once boasted about being life members of the NRA. The couples gift to their ill 3 year-old daughter back in April 2012 was an NRA membership. Whether this was done as a political move, one cannot ignore the $96,702 total donations the former senator received from pro-gun groups over the course of his short political career.
