He is either brave or is an idiot? Take your pick!
Me? Both!

(3,790 posts)Rumor has it is that she was having an affair with the head of Security at Tiffanys in Trump Tower. The divorce was all but done but then he won. I bet any money that the story of her and Barron staying in NYC until the end of the school year was a cover for the affair.

(3,335 posts)dropping Baron off at school, get hair done, facial, nails or massage depending on which day it is, shopping (everyday), lunch with friends, picking Baron up from school. (FTR I read this in a magazine article on her. I think it was Vanity Fair). She did not want to move to Washington DC. She had a small close circle of friends that she lunched and shopped with everyday. Only when the public bitched about the UUUUUge cost Taxpayers were incurring to secure Trump Towers, and the strain on NYPD resources re-routing foot traffic of pedestrians, on area businesses and residents, and finally on residents and business in Trump Towers as well. In the early days of his presidency, Trump was returning to Trump Towers on most weekends causing major traffic jams, and use of NYPD resources in addition to the Secret Service and she and Baron were pressured to relocate to the White House. Although they didn't until June of 2017, unlike other children of past presidents who relocated and changed schools midyear.

(8,759 posts)Let's not forget, she and Trump were openly screwing while he was married to Marla Maples. Melania knows exactly what she got into with Trump and who exactly he is. Does anyone actually believe Melania isn't aware of how she landed in this marriage, and what Trump was up to when they were openly screwing? Does anybody believe that Meliana isn't aware that Trump was screwing her and quite a few other women at the same time?

(47,649 posts)Trump is inherently promiscuous, not particularly brave. He thinks he can bully or buy his way out of anything. I'm sure Melania was happy to be left alone.

Surely you can find a better word to describe the kind of behavior he is engaged in, because calling it brave to cheat on your wife with two other women is an insult to many truly brave individuals.

(13,823 posts)How many times do I have to explain that he is slime ball and he did this to himself! I also never used my words to offend anyone.
Ms. Toad
(34,115 posts)to describe Trump being a three-timing bully.
Whether you intend your words to be offensive is pretty much irrelevant to the impact they may have. I honestly assumed that when I (and others) questioned your use of "brave" to describe Trump's action you would back down. But you've doubled down, which bothered me more than the initial off-the-cuff careless choice of words.
Brave is generally considered an honorable trait, typically used to describe people who have faced adversity not of their own making, and have come out on the other side, or died trying. Recently it has been used to describe the Parkland student who stood between his classmates and the gunman and, more generally, all of the Parkland students acting to make the world a safer place.
There is nothing in Trump's acts with respect to women that remotely resembles being brave. You implicitly acknowledge it by describing him as a slimeball and having done this to himself - yet you still insist he is brave? I find describing his misogynistic and bullying behavior as brave offensive. You're free to feel otherwise.
imanamerican63
(13,823 posts)In my dictionary "brave" also means "audacious" which mean bold and brave to take a risk that could be detrimental to others. So, I guess you can plug in any word you'd like? Have a great day and be good to yourself.

But thankfully, I see a goodness in this boy. I feel he may not grow up to be like the three older ones.
