BY JOE CONCHA - 03/26/18 04:02 PM EDT
Stormy Danielss attorney on Monday taunted President Trump over the ratings for his client's Sunday night interview on 60 Minutes, stating they "crushed (by millions) any Apprentice show in the last ten years" as well as Trump's own appearance on the program not long after winning the 2016 election.

The Daniels interview delivered the highest ratings for "60 Minutes" in nearly 10 years, registering 22.06 million viewers, according to preliminary numbers provided by Nielsen Media Research.
The interview, conducted by correspondent Anderson Cooper, who also serves as a CNN host, is on track to go down as the highest-rated for the news magazine since former President Barack and Michelle Obama's first major interview following the 2008 presidential election, which drew 24.5 million viewers.
For context, Trump's first interview post-election in November 2016 attracted 16.4 million viewers. Vice President Pence joined the president for that sit-down.

(82,849 posts)Trump is all about Trump, his numbers, his popularity, how everyone's talking about him. 22 million to 16.4 million? Sounds like a real spanking to me.

(102,408 posts)This lawyer clearly "gets it" that the media strategy has to be every bit as important as having the law/facts on your side and properly presented (at the right time).
He is effectively pushing Trump's buttons and beating him at his own game.
As one who is accustomed to very professional "normal" "straight-up" legal procedures and representations, it is a bit jarring, but i DO understand and appreciate what he is doing.

(182,925 posts)Having seen him on TV several times and sizing him up from afar I'd say this guy is an absolute shark. Intense, focused, unrelenting, physically intimidating (that guy works out) he is the guy Trump is dying to have behind him. Luckily the world has only had one Roy Cohn but this guy isn't very far from that and a HELL of a lot closer than the gape mouthed bowl of mashed potatoes that Michael Cohen is.
