They showed up in Washington, DC with a message about their lives and safety. They came in huge numbers from all over the country. Survivors of school shootings, supporters of them from many places. So, what does the President of the United States do? Does he greet them and promise to help ensure their safety?
Nope. He runs away to his "club" in Florida. Even there, he takes a circuitous route to avoid seeing other demonstrators there. Why? For what reason does he avoid these young people and the adults who accompanied them?
Because he's afraid of them. He's afraid of their justifiable fear. He's afraid of their resolve to create changes that will help protect them from the next AR-15 toter who decides to shoot up a school. He's afraid to listen to what they have to say. He's afraid that the NRA won't like him any more if he actually does something useful to defend the nation's youth.
Donald Trump acted like a coward, because he IS a coward. He ran from a bunch of kids so he wouldn't have to acknowledge that there is a problem that needs a solution. He was afraid. He lives in fear.
He should resign. We need a President who is not afraid to take on difficult problems and find solutions for them.

I also doubt that he knows his own schoolchild's name.
