Two former aides to Donald Trump waged a war of words against each other this week, using cable news and social media as their battlefields.
Roger Stone, a longtime confidant of Trumps, took to his personal Instagram page on Thursday to call fellow ex-aide Sam Nunberg, a man who once viewed Stone as a mentor, a psycho and a lying asshole.
That post came in response to an appearance by Nunberg on MSNBC yesterday in which he said that Stone was trying to curry favor with Trump by suggesting he had met with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange prior to the 2016 presidential election.
Hes always trying to ingratiate himself to Trump. I dont care about Trump. Its irrelevant to me if I have a relationship with him again. Roger does. They have a long relationship, Nunberg said in the clip.

(51,630 posts)He is all over the place. Nunsberg said that Stone "exaggerates". I saw the show yesterday and Nunsberg was on with that idiot DJ who does impressions of Nixon and is friends with Stone and Assange. He seemed sober and sane to me and he was NOT attacking Stone at all. He said the same stuff about Stone that he did a few weeks ago when people said he had been drinking and Stone's response back then was, "I hardly see/speak with Nunsberg any more". He didn't insult Nunsberg then, so why is he now?

(2,795 posts)could go both ways with these scuzballs. At any rate, I hope Nunberg spills the beans now that he has no reason to protect his "mentor"

(14,249 posts)Eventually all of these people are going to turn on each other and it's going to be a big mess.
I expect that, eventually, the ugliest example of this will occur when Trump decides he needs to throw Jared under the bus to save his own butt and Ivanka, knowing which side of her bread is buttered, will kick him further under it and walk away.

(3,515 posts)When people get involved in politics for some reason that love of others and wanting to make the world a better placer for all, they eventually turn on each other. If it is just about getting ahead in the world, trying to be the top dog, what else is there to do? What is the measure of success for the Trump administration?
Peace on earth, good will toward man? I don't think so!

(3,608 posts)via the Nat'l TV meltdown. So now that Nunberg has told all, Stone must call him a liar etc etc etc. Demfame witness 101. It's all getting quite predictable.
