They just become beloved martyrs to the cause of RW racism, bigotry and entitlement.

She’ll lose her show on Faux, but she won’t ever go away. She’ll simply move into her new role as a conservative who was treated unfairly by the evil libruls for speaking whatever “truth” had the attention of the swamp denizens at the time.
