Sinclair Take Over Goal Is To Silence, Suppress Or Mute Democrats & Their Message.

The Sinclair groups could silence and stop the Democratic message from getting out. And they could stop or deny democratic ads on local stations in November if they get to buy up the local media. They could flood the airways with nothing but GOP ads and lies while blocking any other messages. It does not take much imagination to understand that the Sinclair push is to make Trump TV local in every major market in the country. It would be an evil media monopoly that is a direct threat to the country.

They would be allowed to spread their racist and neo Nazi propaganda to every corner in the nation. And they must be stopped.
Sinclair group must be neutralized or dismantled. Besides they will be allies of the Russians.

2. What Is Eeyore? Not Eyesore I Hope. My OP Is Just Trying To Project What They Are Up To.

We have to be ahead of the GOP and understand what their end game is. Talking points, memes, and bumper sticker rhetoric must be analyzed for the end result and final outcome of the policy they pretend to put out.

The fact that Sinclair is requiring Trumpian talking points be put on locally are just part of the agenda. What else to they want to do and why the rush to get these mergers completed. When you look at what happened in 2016, the GOP created a lot of chaos during the election. They gamed the vote and got the outcome they wanted and we all know it. Sure it is old hat that Hillary probably won, but the weak media and daily garbage covered their tracks and here we are.

The GOP is desperate to not just keep power, but to increase it. So we can expect just about anything legal and illegal from them.
There is a lot going on right now that is not on the radar and the MSM is pretty much incompetent. They keep playing the same games that got us to Trump in the first place.

I know that many believe me to be a Cassandra. I have followed all these trends since Reagan. And all the demons that the Reagan administration with fathered or released are now mature monsters.

Sinclair group is so very dangerous to the future of our country.

4. My OP's Certainly Might Be Considered Shout Outs. It Is Not My Intention To Shout Out.

The problem is that the public does not understand where these policies are going and how it will effect them in the end.

The best example I can give is the move the privatize or profitize the VA. I am a Vietnam veteran and have worked with veterans in the past. The private sector will never be able to deliver the kind of care veterans need. And in the end privatizing the VA would be a 30% or 40% cut in funds that would go to profit. And veterans would lose their care.

The GOP has been sabotaging the VA for years. And many VA problems are directly caused by the GOP when you analyze what has happened over the years.

Now I realize that when I post such OP'a that some people may consider that I am shouting.

Like a town crier. I was just noting that you often put things in the gravest terms. But we need to pay attention to the issues you raise.

Better to face it than hide one's head in the sand. I just hope that you keep the faith that thereare those fighting the good fight, counteracting the issues you raise.

7. Yes I Probably Overstate Based On The Worst Case Scenario. Here Is My Reasoning.

I have followed 20th century history with a passionand watched what the GOP has done to this country since its beginning. Except for Lincoln freeing the slaves, the GOP has been a bad actor. When they began to cooperate with the rail roads and the super rich during the Gilded Age they have done more harm than good.

The supported the violence against unions and labor, they drove the WWI vets out of Washington when they demanded their war bonus, they were against doing ANYTHING to end the Depression, they were against helping the British before WWII (Lend Lease saved the Brits from losing), they have been working at sabotaging the New Deal, they have cheated at elections, etc etc.

Now since Reagan they have worked at feeding the demons released since Reagan. And if I had time I could show how they have royally screwed the country. No in many cases they have not yet done the ultimate damage or caused the most fatal consequences of their actions. Yet they have been in position a number of times to create complete havoc. Except for luck or circumstances they have been thwarted.

When I post I am looking at the final end result if they were to succeed partially or totally in their mayhem. Too many Americans do not realize the danger the GOP represents. They have so many deadly agendas is it just terrifying.

Just to give one example. The privatization of the VA would be a complete catastrophe and betray our most vulnerable veterans. And many would suffer and die with NO care if the VA is shut down as the GOP wants. And many veterans' families would be bankrupted completely under such a murderous decision. You might as well shoot these wounded warriors.

If I could explain everything I see on the horizon with these murderous goons you would fully understand why I post as I do. So would others. My 24 years at DOL allowed me a perspective that few others have. It is not that I am right on everything.

And I do not sound these alarms lightly.

how do you broach these subjects outside of DU? I find myself succumbing to paralysis in the face of worst case potentials.

If you take the VA, for instance, perhaps we can take the issue of it being understaffed and nationalize it. Juxtapose GOP understaffing and underfunding the VA versus our desire to fully staff the VA with people who care about the VA. So much depends on our participation as citizens. I think we need motivation in a variety of ways. Your approach is valid. Sounding the alarm is needed. I'd like to hear your ideas on how to get the average person to care enough to act.

10. Not Sure How We Do. Here Is Why. Programming Has Been Going On Since Late 1980's. Here's Why.
Thu Apr 5, 2018, 09:12 PM
Apr 2018

I notice a change in media patterns as early as mid 1980's. I first noticed something strange with MTV and music videos. And being a theater major I was bothered by what I saw. I am going to take you on a journey.

When MTV began with cable the most noticeable thing about these videos what that even though they had good songs, the video content was disjointed and in some way nonsensical. On top of the surrealistic content there was a lot of quick cutting. Very short images often with no connection to each other. At first it was interesting and engaging.

Then as time went on I could see these same techniques drifting into commercials and the network content. Even movies and shows began to use very fast quick cutting. In some cases the images passed by so quick you could barely focus on what was happening. If you watch TV ads they have the same quick cutting patterns.

Politically we began with quick talking points, bumper stickers, and other fast moving techniques that left just impressions. Everything became very short memes and very surface. And rhetoric became more focused on key words, phrases, epithets, stories, etc etc. Content moved very fast like amusement park ride.

What happened in such an environment was that the individual was not able to dig in and analyze what these images and memes meant. Voters were assaulted with quick cutting memes and word salad that meant nothing. And if you listen to a lot of political rhetoric and debate it is very shallow. A lot of language is generic and general lacks specifics.

It is very hard to analyze anything in depth when you are given generic branded language that is pretty much meaningless. We have a nation on psychological LSD. If you look at how Hillary was attacked and a reality that was created the was totally false it is obvious why we are where we are. Hillary did absolutely nothing wrong and is not what the GOP and Trump made her to be. The real crooks are the ones who called her crooked.

We now live in a disjointed reality where a person is not able to focus long enough on a train of thought. Many of the OP's I write about require previous knowledge where little exists in our electorate.

The best example I can give is that I am explaining chess moves of chess pieces. The public has not even got to checkers yet.

And I simply do not know how we can bridge the gap. I am frustrated because when I talk about labor issues and how the corporations are moving the workers to a "contract" or Uber economy, people do not understand it. Yet their future is at risk.

Another example when Trump talks about draining the swamp he is talking about dismantling the federal system and civil service.in the end. Just look at what is happening to so many federal agencies right now. Look at what DeVos is up to.

Finally the public has been programmed over a long period of time. Hate radio uses the same repeating patterns.

They can decline PAC ads, but they can do that now. This is a small broadcast channel. It's not the unkillable bogeyman. I don't get all this fear-mongering as supposed motivation that the sky is constantly falling and we are all doomed.

Sinclair broadcasting covers 40% of the U.S.

POP TV a channel I've never heard of covers a high percentage of American families.
