Orange Cheeto supporters have

started a new committee (well, new to me). It's called the Committee to Defend the President. www.CommitteeToDefendThePresident.com

I am on their list. They recently emailed me asking not only for money, but also to write and thank him for deploying the National Guard to the border. Needless to say, I wrote that this was a colossal waste of taxpayer money. I further implored him to take a 3-year vacation and save us all a lot of money.

Is this new committee a way to get around campaign funds and enable them to use funds now?

As they say, you contributed your two cents.

Wiki says "The Committee to Defend the President was first established as the hybrid Stop Hillary PAC in 2013.[1] The PAC changed its name to the Committee to Defend the President in 2017.[2] Ted Harvey, a Republican official, chairs the Committee."

recent evolution and I assume it has different rules than campaign funds, including that Cheetohead can use the funds for whatever he wants, unlike campaign funds, which are regulated.

For those that are interested, google him. He is a BIG money in politics supporter. Thinks not enough money goes into politics.
