(13,340 posts)My Dad was Navy and retired there. I was actually born on the base.
Grew up there. Went to Great Mills High School. Bot my Bachelor's Degree at Maryland. Lived in Prince Frederick for a bit, then in Waldorf. I worked at Pax, and my wife was going to Grad School in DC (Georgetown, then GWU).
I come back to visit a couple times a year.

(6,115 posts)Have had lots of rain today, now temps are dropping fast. Snow should start after 11:00 for 5-6 hours. Probably little accumulation since the ground has been so warm and wet. The flowers always look so nice covered with snow.

(182,829 posts)Met a guy at a charity function last year and as we were talking he said he grew up in Oregon Hill. I lived there for a year. So I asked him on what street and he said Albemale and Cherry. Near Hollywood Cemetery? No IN Hollywood Cemetery. His grandfather and then his father were the caretakers. Said he had the biggest backyard in the city.
