How could an inspection not warn of these deficiencies? How could a CO (Certificate of Occupancy) be granted by NYC City Hall without operational fire devices, esp. if the new standard was to have them installed?

Remember the ending of "Towering Inferno"?

The last scene from Towering Inferno. "One of these days, they'll kill 10,000 in one of these firetraps. And I'll keep eating smoke and bringing out bodies...until somebody asks us...how to build them."

and Trump chose to omit them. Legal, but non-nonsensical in a luxury apartment building.

If your apartment is turned to ashes, is it still a "luxury" apartment? If two or three floors of apartments smell like smoke, are they still "luxury" apartments?

tRump brand should not be associated with "luxury". It should be associated with cutting corners, risking people's lives, grifting in general, but never "luxury".
