In 1999, Trump told the New York Times he was going to install sprinklers. Never did.

In 1999, he told the New York Times he was going to install sprinklers. Never did.

Yesterday he tweeted the fire was out at 6:42pm.

NYFD did not declare the fire under control until 7:45pm.

He lies about everything.

Now people are pissed and are going to dig in to this whole sprinkler issue.

You know, not being someone who'd shop for a luxury apartment, I wouldn't know, but one luxury I think I'd like is not dying in a raging fire with no means of escape.

for Todd Brassner's death. Poor guy.. if only trump wasn't such a slum landlord. I think sprinklers might have saved him.

being built near the United Nations.

He did have to spend to install sprinklers there, but that was because of the new regulations, which Trump Tower was exempted from because it had been built nearly 20 years earlier.

I saw an article yesterday mentioning him talking about the sprinklers in Trump World Tower, about how much they were costing.

If there's a separate article showing Trump said in 1999 that he was going to install sprinklers in the older building even though he wasn't required to, I haven't seen it.

Until Dipshit installs sprinklers and proper notification system no one can move back in or pay rent.

Retrofitting costs far more. Trump decided not to install them when the building was erected. He saved some money. A man is dead. The law didn't require sprinklers, so Trump saved money in a "luxury" building by not protecting its future tenants from fire.

That's how Donald Trump is. He doesn't care. It doesn't matter to him. The man who died is nobody to him.
