Those 250 Texas National Guard going to the border

The border is 1,954 miles in length along the Texas - Mexico border.
So that's one guardsman/woman per 8 miles?

Trump wants his base to think he is taking a hard line on immigration. He wants his base to say he finds a way to get things done. Trump is not in the results business, he is in the perceptions business.

1954(miles of border)/83.33 (troops per shift) = 23.46 miles per person

250(number of troops)/3(3 8 hour shifts)= 83.33(troops per shift)

You need 4 people to cover one location for a day.

168 hours in a week divided among 4 people is 42 hours per person, or 1 full time job.

So they can continuously man 60 locations along the border. If each one is by themselves.

2-man teams, and you go down to 30.

It's RW bullshit.
