Conservative pollster: 'I think the Republicans are in deep trouble'

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 04/08/18 01:28 PM EDT

Conservative pollster Frank Luntz said Sunday he believes Republicans are in danger of losing both chambers of Congress in this year’s midterm elections.

“I think the Republicans are in deep trouble in the House and the Senate as well. If the election were held today, frankly, I think Republicans would lose both,” Luntz said on Fox News.

“If Donald Trump wants to keep a Republican Congress, he has to differentiate when he’s attacking Congress in general versus the Republicans in Congress. Differentiate when he’s attacking the press versus when he feels he’s not getting a fair shake,” he continued.

Luntz said the economy has done well under Trump’s administration, but that the president largely has not gotten credit for it. He suggested Trump could draw more attention to his successes by tweeting less and focusing on the economy rather than attacking the press or other lawmakers.

what is in store for November?

We need to of course GOTV, but what are we or can we do to prevent on the ground KGB and GOP agents stopping voting and fucking with the count?

wouldn't it be "fun" ({{sarcasm}}) to rile them up sufficiently that THEY insisted on hand counted paper ballots? In our lifetimes, did we think the Berlin wall would fall (as it did, almost over night)? Did we ever think people would suddenly be hyper aware and against the NRA and military weapons in the hands of just anyone? We live in interesting times...!

By what metric?

Or I should say, by what metric has it done better than under Obama's tenure?

It's only now starting to slide a bit, but just wait until the effects of those tariffs kick in.

It's essentially kept it's momentum despite the idiocy of the nut case in the WH. Can't fault this comment, don't think he meant it's doing better...

I know I'm asking a lot and I'm just trying to see if this "BluNami" is gonna get to do something constructive...

All of it. From a policy perspective Drumpf and the republicans would be neutered. That alone seems pretty “constructive” to me.
