Conservative pollster Frank Luntz said Sunday he believes Republicans are in danger of losing both chambers of Congress in this years midterm elections.
I think the Republicans are in deep trouble in the House and the Senate as well. If the election were held today, frankly, I think Republicans would lose both, Luntz said on Fox News.
If Donald Trump wants to keep a Republican Congress, he has to differentiate when hes attacking Congress in general versus the Republicans in Congress. Differentiate when hes attacking the press versus when he feels hes not getting a fair shake, he continued.
Luntz said the economy has done well under Trumps administration, but that the president largely has not gotten credit for it. He suggested Trump could draw more attention to his successes by tweeting less and focusing on the economy rather than attacking the press or other lawmakers.

(31,112 posts)what is in store for November?
We need to of course GOTV, but what are we or can we do to prevent on the ground KGB and GOP agents stopping voting and fucking with the count?

I dont know what to do, but there has to be a way for the DNC to organize watchdogs.

(7,686 posts)wouldn't it be "fun" ({{sarcasm}}) to rile them up sufficiently that THEY insisted on hand counted paper ballots? In our lifetimes, did we think the Berlin wall would fall (as it did, almost over night)? Did we ever think people would suddenly be hyper aware and against the NRA and military weapons in the hands of just anyone? We live in interesting times...!

Or I should say, by what metric has it done better than under Obama's tenure?

(26,624 posts)and the idiot might just wreck it by November, and Republicans don't win elections, they steal them.

(13,912 posts)And a Dem takes their place, what do we gain? What kind of power would we wield? What changes can we make. What crazy batshit legislation can we stop???
I know I'm asking a lot and I'm just trying to see if this "BluNami" is gonna get to do something constructive...

(16,396 posts)All of it. From a policy perspective Drumpf and the republicans would be neutered. That alone seems pretty constructive to me.
