Jimmy Kimmel apologizes for joke amid Sean Hannity Twitter feud

I have mixed feelings about this.

I wouldn't have wanted to see it continue much longer. I'd rather see Kimmel go after more worthy targets than Hannity.

OTOH, Hannity will probably gloat about "winning" -- even though the only mature response would be to thank Kimmel and apologize for this own rhetoric.

So far he's just tweeted that he's aware of Kimmel's statement and will respond to it on his show tomorrow (has to drive up ratings now that Rachel is beating him).

Still, I love those digs on Hannity's "new-found advocacy for women." That's well played.

But on the whole, celebrity feuds are dumb. On Twitter they ramp up to "super dumb"

Where is the apology? It looks like more subtle digs at Hannity's sudden advocacy for women.

This almost feels like a prelude to a Hannity sex scandal.

He used homophobic humor and he’s clever enough he could have avoided it. It’s Hannity level humor—Hannity will not care if he offends the GBLT community and he certainly won’t apologize.

with a professional comedian. They practice what to do with hecklers and they always win.

Hannity better make nice and do it quickly or he will unquestionably be the bad guy no matter what Kimmel said.

This constant grind of negativity is wearing me down.

Reading that Sean Hannity dropped dead tonight would be nice. Then I could look forward to the morning talking heads discuss something pleasant for a change.
