(14,492 posts)With a twist of dry British humor, and he usually draws around an existing object. He also takes copies of old paintings and adds something of parody to it, and he does some original sculpture.
In the example shown in the OP, I'm sure the painted phrase "you loot, we shoot" was already on the wall and he painted the Wall Street guy with money next to it. If you look through the slides on the web site where I posted the link, you will catch on to his humor. Just click on "outside" or "inside" on the left to see the slides.
Banksy is very much into promoting peace and love of fellow man, mainly using stencils and spray paint!
