In each one, in the lobby/entry/ceremonial reception area/public space, in the place where, over the years, I've seen the formal portraits of Reagan, Bush the Greater, Clinton, Bush the Lesser, and Obama. Next to those portraits, depending on the agency, was an official portrait of the agency's head, usually a cabinet secretary.
Over the last few months, I have continued to have occasion to visit some of these agencies.
On the mug shot wall of some of these agencies there are (figuratively) just the dusty outlines of where portraits once hung. No agency head. No president.
Where there IS a president hanging, its this one, which I have always found to be the smarmiest image of him ever taken. (It is just the inset image, not the background image)

(12,631 posts)for in the 80's we "lost" Ronald Ray-gun's official picture, and had to replace it with an old JFK portrait. We got away with it for two years before management noticed.
