It's always been difficult to imagine what it takes for anyone to sidle up to Trumpy and do his bidding, but now it's more likely that Trumpy's deepening troubles are incentive for people around him to distance themselves and not come back. There is no way that Trumpy skates out of this, and anyone who is around him now had better look out for busses. The urge to get out has to be getting insurmountable.

And since he knows he's in WAY over his head, he's just going to get louder and more aggressive.

The smartest and closest thing to 'face saving' he can do is resign, although I think we all know that's one thing he will never do.
