Take meals away from old folks and food stamps from hungry children and give the proceeds to the wealthiest people in this country, and then brag about it. It's nothing to be proud of. It only shows what a disgraceful bunch of idiots they are when they are herded together.

(7,432 posts)Remember that old Bush 43 meme? He can piss on his constituents and have them believe it's raining. Well, it's the same propaganda network, except that it's more pervasive and sophisticated than ever. GOPers are still fully confident that they can lie their way into maintaining control of government. All government. And no matter how much shit they dump onto their voters, the voters will always believe that the shit is a chocolate mousse. All they have to do is apply a dollop of whipped cream, and they're good to go.

obamacare was a hell of an accomplishment. every president since wwii has made some sort of effort (some big, some small) to reform health care and all ended up in failure until obama. and this despite complete opposition by republicans, despite wayward democrats, and despite losing ted kennedy and his seat to yet another completely uncooperative republican.
but republicans, with the white house and majorities in both houses passing a tax cut for the rich? and with the reconciliation rules available to avoid a filibuster? wow, what a shocker! who could have seen that coming! doing exactly what their rich donors put them in office to do, how brave of them!
and then trying to act as if donnie did anything other then do the single most obvious thing for a republican president to do -- sign the stupid thing. he didn't really campaign much on a tax cut, he certainly didn't twist any arms in congress about it, he didn't rally the public behind it, and the whole thing was never his idea, it was just dusted off the congressional shelves.
the only thing about it that likely donnie had anything to do with was the special tax breaks for pass-through entities, the kind donnie himself has many of and would personally benefit immensely from.
great achievement, donnie! find something that was always going to happen and get a little grift out of it.
and yet republicans sheeple eat this shit up and think donnie's some kind of hero for taking their money and giving it to people who already have more than they know what to do with.
