Eight Argentinian police officers have been dismissed after claiming that more than half a ton of marijuana which disappeared from a police warehouse had been eaten by mice.

The disappearance of the drugs was discovered during an inspection of a police warehouse for impounded drugs in the town of Pilar, 60km outside the capital city of Buenos Aires.

The cannabis had been in storage there for two years. But of the 6,000kg that had been registered, only 5,460kg were found.

The toxic dose of cannabis is basically non-existent because you can’t consume enough of it to kill you faster than your body can process it.

You know, these could have been escaped mice from a chemical cancer testing lab, who were looking to use it for medicinal purposes.

Like, uh, I'm a concerned responsible law-abiding citizen and I'd like to, uh, do you guys a favor. If you have one of those drug-sniffing dogs, is there a way I can, uh, volunteer to take it for a walk today or tomorrow. I'll be happy to do that if you have one that, uh, knows how to find weed, I can, like, you know, come pick him up and take him for a walk for a little while. Does that work for you?

I mean it's crazy - you have this substance that can exacerbate paranoia and interfere with short term memory, so they make it illegal and (a) people end up wanting to hide it really well, and (b) forget where they put it.

It's just cruel.

The more marijuana those happy little stoned mices ate, the hungrier they got, and therefore the more marijuana they wanted to eat. Everybody knows that a case of the munchies will not be ignored.

Who knows how much cocaine might be flying around in Florida?

The answer is blowing in the wind.
