Make Believe Baseball Story..about a minor league player named Donnie Trump..

.. The names and dates have been changed/made up...cause this is total and complete fiction..made up today 4/11/18 by Stuart G...of Democratic Underground..(.apologies to all )

...The latest news out of Portland Maine is that a member of the Portland Sea Dogs (Double AA- minor league) has been called up to the major league team Boston Red Sox.. the month and year - August 1992. Donald Trump, or Donnie ,as he is known, is an outstanding hitter, currently hitting 343 with Portland, he has 30 home runs and has had a hit in his last 40 games. Donnie does have a reputation for being very self centered and self assured. He does indeed think that he is the greatest hitter of all time. He has been in the minor leagues for 2 complete seasons, and this is his third season of professional baseball. Boston has a new center fielder for a crucial game this Friday with the New York Yankees.

...For Friday's game the Yankees have announced one of their better pitchers to face Donnie Trump. He is an outstanding pitcher named Roger Clemens. Roger has been pitching for a number of years and has an outstanding record. They say he is destined to become one of the greatest pitchers ever....

..So, there it is a minor league player named Donnie Trump...facing a Hall of Famer to be, Roger Clemens. What do you think will happen? Roger has been around for a few years. Quite fast and cunning..already someone to be dealt with. Has already won some awards. Roger vs a minor league player named "Donald Trump" (also known as Donnie) Do you think Donnie will show everyone that he can see past Roger's so called "reputation"..Or will it be Roger Clemens who shows Donnie which side of the ball Donnie cannot hit as he swings at empty air. Roger Clemens has heard of Donnie's super ego, and would like to show him what major league baseball is all about..

You be the umpire and sports writer..
..Who will win out? Donnie Trump.. the rookie, or Roger Clemens the experienced pitcher...How will the story pan out?...It is all fiction, so any report that you have on this face off, would be great to read..thanks for getting this far.....historian and fiction writer.....Stuart G.......one more thought...while it seems to be about baseball, ... it is really about a someone named Donnie Trump ..(liar and self absorbed asshole)

Bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, Sox down by three, Little Donnie up at bat. Clemens pitches right over the plate, level with Donnie's shoulder, but Donnie doesn't swing. No, Donnie just leans on his bat. Second pitch is much like the first, but Donnie just grins and waves his bright red hat at his adoring fans. Final pitch, Donnie lifts his bat and points it over the stadium, calling his hit. Clemens pitches a sinker, Donnie swings and is a mile away from making contact. There is no joy in Boston that night.

Later on some of his erstwhile adoring fans beat Donnie senseless with baseball bats.

of course that happened. But he was beat so senseless with the bats, that he decided to quit baseball and go into politics...you have added a great ending to this story...Thank You for reading it... I would k and r your post, but I can't...

The stadium erupts in cheers as the EMTs take their time removing the carcas. A crane is called in to help lift the body into an ambulance. The only muscle moving on Donnie is his mouth as he brags about hitting the game winning home run. The fans just roll their eyes.
