Ari just said a profound thing...all the Rs dropping out is NOT good...it gives Trump the party. I know we rejoice when they decide to not be in politics...like our vile Paul Ryan today....there is more room for us...but look at it this way....Trump wins.

Likely those who will replace these leaving will be trumpers, unless we vote for ANY democrat.

5. Maybe so, but it is a smaller party. If the GOP so called mainstream leaves......

....instead of kowtowing to the Tea Party/Trumpers, that is a good thing. I was more concerned that they would embrace that 30% to stay in power.

If it can be salvaged, it will only be at the end of a long time in the wilderness after hitting rock bottom. The only hope we have left is that their fall doesn't drag the country down with them further than they already have. The only way we can realize that goal is to wrench the levers of power away from them by voting straight Democratic ticket in every election for the foreseeable future, from President down to dogcatcher.

This is the party they have been building for quite some time.

The tea party was the largest shift but Trump is just an extension of that. The republican party has been dead for at least a decade now.
They have been surviving on nothing but hate for as least as long.
