A possible pick up in Ohio

http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/07/30/Steve-LaTourette-no-re-election.html

Three high-placed Republican sources tell The Dispatch that longtime Republican lawmaker Steven LaTourette has decided not to run for re-election, leaving party members rushing to find a replacement in time for the Nov. 6 election.

LaTourette of Bainbridge Township near Cleveland is in his ninth term as a House member.

A source said LaTourette is leaving because of a dispute with House leadership about future committee assignments.

He got into Congress back in 94 in the GOP wave and stayed ever since. Now we have a shot of retaking that seat.

His 2012 district includes all of Ashtabula, Geagua, and nearly all of lake county plus about half of Trumbull, and parts of summit and cuyahoga, and portage. It is a competative swing district.

He was to face Democrat Dale Blanchard in his November race.'
