(14,860 posts)The ads run on other shows, like Hannity's Hate-fest. Every one of those advertisers still knowingly sponsors the spread of hate and lies, and Fox News is raking in just as much money as before.

(4,940 posts)We had an Arby's - long ago.... HAD being the operative word. Even in this quasi- military/miming town, they closed.
No loss!

(5,071 posts)Not being Spelling Cop here, but I love the image of a military/miMing town. Should it be mimes as military, or military as mimes? Either way

(4,940 posts)But yeah, the miming would work well in Juneau - all the repukes paying lip service to constituents and just plain paying Big Oil!

(10,130 posts)Bye Laura, time to put a period on the end of it. It's over.
Maybe Tommi Lahren is in the queue. The 70+ y.o. angry, white male demographic audience loves gals that tuck handguns into the front of their yoga pants andctweets pictures.

(12,437 posts)If Fox airs pro-Trump programming without advertising or any recognizably journalistic discipline, it should be seen as an in-kind campaign donation that hasn't been properly reported to the FEC. Y'know, just like the hush money.

(118,320 posts)IBM announced Wednesday that it no longer advertises on The Ingraham Angle, making it at least the 23rd advertiser to drop support for the Fox News opinion show since host Laura Ingraham mocked Parkland high school shooting survivor David Hogg in late March for not getting into some colleges. On Tuesday, Blue Apron and SlimFast announced they will no longer run ads on the show ...

... Prices for commercial time on the show have fallen as nearly two dozen Ingraham Angle advertisers including Johnson & Johnson, online furnishings provider Wayfair, Slimfast and Hulu pulled their commercials from the program. The average price for a 30-second spot on The Ingraham Angle for the week of April 9 to April 13 was $11,305-$13,405, compared with $12,310-$14,732 during the week of March 26 to March 30, according to SQAD, a company that provides advertising analytics and planning tools.
Keep in mind that the media firestorm over Ingrahams comments started on March 28 and that there may be other reasons for the price fluctuations. According to SQAD, the drop off in ad prices "is not particularly noteworthy yet" and noted the vast majority of the show's commercial time is sold in advance at the upfronts as it is for most TV ads ...

(13,526 posts)The OReilly Factor, which has aired for 20 years, is the highest-rated and most profitable show in cable news. But in just a week, the show has become a shell of itself.
.......
In the week that followed, advertisers have left the show in droves. At the beginning of the week, the show boasted well over 30 ads across the hour, many from top national brands. At the end of the week, his show had around 10 ads, hawking catheters and Elvis Presley gospel albums.

(10,103 posts)That clip is funny as heck. The guy who helped the idiot son promote a war based on lies.
Even if her TV show gets cancelled she still has 3 hours on the radio every day to spew her BS and I'm sure she's got millions in the bank. I'll still get some pleasure if her show got cancelled.
Her replacement: Paul Ryan

(6,254 posts)Im beginning to sense the long arch of history is starting to bend ever so slightly. Cracks and fizzures are appearing and an avalanche to about to bury the Republican Party that has held this country hostage. The theft of Merrick Garlands seat on the SC was the gun to the head of the American people, and the trigger was pulled with the election of Trump. In a coma and on life support for the past 14 months, America seemed doomed, incapable of piercing the surface of the real Teflon Don until suddenly, like a kick in gut when its already down, another tragic school shooting took 17 lives and woke a sleeping giant, the American youth. In the face of these articulate and brave kids, the once impenetrable right-wing, the NRA, the Ingrahams of the world, are being exposed as the wackos that we on the left have known them to be for so long. With a shot of adrenaline, Robert Muelller is turning up the heat amd Trump as the rats on ship quit and show us all just what cowards they are.
