Is the President really so powerful that he (and his cronies) can brazenly break the law and pardon every single criminal while continuing to reign as a product of a thrown election?

Is this the USA envisioned by our founders?

If they are given "pre-emptive" pardons, then they cannot take the 5th and can still be indicted if they lie.
