To paraphrase the Scarborough-led conversation:
His lawyers all think he's dumb. They think he's too dumb to talk to Robert Mueller, because Mueller had a better education. He attended a better prep school. He went to Princeton.
Would you be insulted if your lawyers thought you were too stupid to talk to Robert Mueller? Isn't Donny his own best advocate?
He was a Fordham guy before he went to Wharton. His dad probably paid a lot of money to get him into Wharton.
Either that, or he's too much of a coward. Do you think he's a coward?

(46,117 posts)his older brother, Fred Jr. and Trump exploited that situation.
Trivia: Trump didn't originally want a career in development of properties. He wanted to be a movie producer.

I wonder how much that "Ivy League degree" cost Daddy Trump?

(5,106 posts)of her one date with Trump (granted, he was desperate to impress her)? Sorry that I can't provide a link, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

(22,037 posts)I remember when Trump began to rise in NY real estate and media in the early 1980s. His press reports often made his education sound like he was first in his class at Wharton where he achieved his MBA.
The story was purposely fuzzy. A friend of mine who did get his MBA from Wharton told me that he had looked in the school's archives about earlier graduating classes. Trump did not achieve an MBA, only an undergraduate degree from Penn. (Trump took classes at Penn's Wharton School.)
From that moment, I knew Trump was a dirtbag. Nothing in his life since has changed that first impression.

(56,828 posts)being a legacy was a bigger deal than it is today. It still plays a role these days - especially if the older sibling or parent, uncle, aunt, etc is a wealthy donor or wealthy potential donor. However, back 50 years ago or so, it was definitely more important. (Just like George W Bush getting into Yale - because his father and grandfather went there and had donated money to the school...yet, I believe he was rejected by the University of Texas)

(38,958 posts)Hoping for increased morning ratings?
1). Mr. Scarborough and his like were in part responsible for where we are today with their breathless "Donald Trump just had a ham sandwich" wall to wall coverage of his campaign.
2). DT really doesn't seem to watch anything beyond Fox so it's more than likely that he will never see this coverage and I'd bet no one in the WH will bring it up.
3). Who really cares what Scarborough says or thinks? He is simply another talking head and there is little if anything resembling journalism. I fail to understand why he is even still on the air.

(38,958 posts)I really don't care what he watches. I avoid more than just a few minutes of the morning talking over each other infotainment programs.
I do not find that they add much to the debate, beyond hearing their own voices and pushing advertisements for big pharma.

(13,305 posts)....they are going to go back to pumping up the GOP at every possible turn. All will be forgiven because "the adults will be back in charge" or their party. Even though every single one of those Republicans, to a number will be supporting every single solitary policy and position that Trump has and is promoting.
They are both completely full of shit and will say whatever is convenient to their careers.
