Are we doomed to die in nuclear fire sometime in the next few weeks after Cheeto decides to strike Syria and Russia retaliates?

No sense being the richest ripoff in the world if you can't spend it or even go outside.
Just another level of control, scare the populace to death, keep them in line.

(1,294 posts)not that I want us to strike Syria--we don't need that at all. Those Syrians are suffering at the hands of the US, Russia, Iran and others playing their stupid games.
I find it interesting we now have an EXACT duplication of the scenario Obama was faced with and get to see what an amoral clown does vs. what a real leader does in such a situation.

(25,857 posts)Even though there is apparently a great deal of truth to the President being the only one with access to the launch codes and he's beholden to no when about how or when to make use of them, I rather imagine that if he tried to make use of them, those actually in physical possession of them wouldn't hand them over.
Plus, he'd have to read with his own two eyes the codes, and we already know he doesn't read.
Which isn't to say he might not order conventional bombing on Syria, but Russia won't respond to that with nukes.
