Trump's lawyers are arguing to the bench that due to national security reasons, the president should have access to all materials seized by law enforcement at Michael Cohen's office and residence and be allowed to prevent federal prosecutors from seeing what he deems inaccessible.

If this is allowed to happen, in conjunction with what's unfolding regarding presidential pardons, then the rule of law is done. We will be firmly in Banana Republic territory with a head of state above the law in every regard, passing out immunity at random and committing crime at whim. He'll even have the military parade to go with it.

in other words, he'd have done something worse than what he wanted to lock hillary up for!
