(16,959 posts)3. I think so too!
But was curious as what they would do?

Something in the Civil Servants' Handbook?
bluestarone
(16,959 posts)4. who would Rosenstein go to to file that?

Could he have a report on the investigation that he could release to the public?
bluestarone
(16,959 posts)7. That would be interesting.
grantcart
(53,061 posts)8. He is not a political appointee and can only be terminated with cause
bluestarone
(16,959 posts)9. i see that but what would be the just cause?
I'm sure tRUMP will have one but in my eyes it won't be just cause

(42,704 posts)10. You are mistaken. The Deputy AG is a political position
Rosenstein was confirmed as Deputy AG by the Senate in April 2017.
Trump can fire him whenever he wants for whatever reason he wants or for no reason at all.

(16,959 posts)11. TY for that but Now i'm confused.
I've been reading on here that tRUMP better have JUST CAUSE if he fires Rosenstein. this must not be the case?

(42,704 posts)12. Presidential appointees, with rare exception (not applicable to deputy AG) serve at the pleasure
the president.

(53,061 posts)13. You are correct, I mixed it up with various Senators stating that
They would oppose Rosenstein's removal without cause.
Replacing Rosenstein would be complicated.
