Valerie Plame's husband calls Trump 'vile and despicable' after Libby pardon

Former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, whose CIA agent wife's cover was leaked in 2003, blasted President Trump on Friday as "vile and despicable" after he pardoned I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

In a statement obtained by HuffPost, Wilson called Trump an "utterly unacceptable" leader, and accused him of allowing individuals who put U.S. national security at risk to run free.

"Mr. Trump is willing to allow people to violate the essence of our defense structure, our national security, our intelligence apparatus and essentially get away with it," Wilson said.

"Finally, as to Trump, he is a vile and despicable individual," he later added. "He represents repudiation of everything that my generation has worked to secure for our nation and its people. I find him utterly unacceptable as president."
