Was Facebook responsible for the election of Donald Trump?

FB certainly seems to have played a significant role, along with the electoral college. I'm glad I never made a FB account, just because I never felt comfortable putting my personal information on the internet. I asked my wife, kids, friends, relatives to delete their accounts and most have done so. And perhaps millions of others are doing the same. Such an unscrupulous corporation doesn't deserve anyone's support. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Facebook.

Now it is a $400 billion corporation. It is not going anywhere. China will let its people start using it eventually and that will open it up to a billion and half more people.

China hates the orange clown, and FB played a large role in helping the orange clown win the election.

I doubt China will be allowing FB access to their market anytime soon, if ever.

Pretty impressive. What other business can say that? Having said that, China does not "hate" or "like" any of our leaders. They do what they think is best in their long range economic interests and will work with anyone.

that is why they hate him. there is nothing about Trump that is in China's economic interest.

Why would working with Facebook ever be in China's economic interest? FB has facilitated the rise of the Trump administration one of the worst things to ever happen to China. Millions of Americans had there data stolen and manipulated thanks to FB. In light of that, you actually think China would ever allow Facebook access to their Chinese citizens' private data, to be exposed and vulnerable to manipulation by a foreign entity and used to sway public opinion against the Chinese government, the same way it was used against democrats in the US? LOL.

There was/is multiple hands that helped propel trump into the presidency. No one thing did it. FB was just one hand.

to entertainment and infotainment media. It's a failure of entertainment media that he was relevant via the vile reality TV platform. The conflict driven sensationalism that is considered actual news on cable was a perfect stage for Trump's campaign.

else. They were always talking about how horrible Hillary was. Criminal. Always wondered what they based that hatred on...now confirmed they saw constant propaganda every day on FB.

In fact, it was so effective that even today when Dolt45 does something bad..."He's still better than Hillary would have been."
