Ari, you have to put the cookies on the bottom shelf Folks, Ari what is really telling you is that if Cohen is doing little to no legal work, then there is little to no attorney-client privilege because there is little to no legal advice being rendered by him to Trump or anyone! pic.twitter.com/ObDBIN3FNv

The raids on Mr. Trumps lawyer, Michael D. Cohen, came as part of a monthslong federal investigation based in New York, court records show, and were sweeping in their breadth. In addition to searching his home, office and hotel room, F.B.I. agents seized material from Mr. Cohens cellphones, tablet, laptop and safe deposit box, according to people briefed on the warrants. Prosecutors revealed in court documents that they had already secretly obtained many of Mr. Cohens emails.

(111,098 posts)10. Would they have needed a FISA warrant to read his emails?
Is it legal?

(7,633 posts)11. obviously its legal.
It says so in the first sentence. They obtained warrants which were kept covert. I dont think its FISA since it is a domestic case on american soil. Just a regular wiretap warrant that judges can issue. FISA applies to cases where foreign intelligence gathering is involved. This is a domestic case investigated by the FBI.

Do I want so badly for this entire cabal to crash and burn catastrophically that I put too much faith in the investigation? That my sense of gathering momentum is wishful thinking?
