Documents and evidence will be preserved. The investigation would revert back to being overseen by Wray as it was by Comey before Comey got fired under whoever is acting attorney general. I believe Congress will be forced to act as more clear evidence of Russian "collusion" by Trump associates gets leaked such as tonight's leak that Mueller probe has evidence Michael Cohen was in Prague in communication with Russian agent during 2016 campaign as Steele Dossier had alleged and Cohen had denied.
