This event predates the Millennials and Generation X, as does any interest in the hoopla surrounding it. The brunt of the market was going to be boomers who were young adults in 1969.

I'm not a boomer and I never got worked up over the movie in anyway. It, as is the historical event, doesn't register on my radar.

Joe Kennedy lll will rise or fall on his own merits and not what happened in Chappaquiddick fifty years ago. Any sentient person knows the Kennedys are a mixed bag like most dynasties. "You have to take the bitter with the sweet."

All this movie might have done is cement some sentiment amongst Boomers. Other then that it was a colossal waste of money.
