He stopped when I blew back at him....by that time, I had already had another job lined up...he was shocked, and never yelled at me again...I quit a couple of weeks later...he begged me to stay on, I laughed in his face...

You could hear him raging all over the floor.

I left, got another job and guess who showed up 6 months later? Yep..he had been canned and ended up in
the clinic I had moved to.
and he blew up at me in a meeting. Went from zero to 90mph in a nanosecond.

but...the minute he got hired, I went to HR, told them my concerns, and they told me what to do.
So when he blew up, I stood up, clinically described what he had just done, and told him if he ever did it to me or staff again, I would file hostile workplace charges.
He never ever did it again. instead he would ignore me if he could, or walk away.

Turns out, he decided to pick on our Program Director, who was close to retirement. And who was highly revered by the agency and people in our field. had a national reputation.
The Director was an old Southern gentleman. He would go to lunch, have one drink, come back to work an hour later, and of course the alcohol has left his system by then ( one oz per hour dissipation rate)
The doctor reported him for on the job drinking ( ironic, since the doc was supposed to be a recovering alcoholic but had never ever gotten emotionally sober).

Unfortunately, the rules at the time were that a charge had to be investigated. The director took 2 weeks leave ( with pay) and attended 14 AA meetings, signed proof, the whole works. and when he got back, the doctor was soon fired, for cause, he had blown up at someone else.
The Program Director and i had a celebratory lunch.

The doc could not get hired anywhere in the state.
Last I heard he was working in some small town in North Dakota.

And that is my perfect karma story.

Years later...the same guy tried to befriend on LinkedIn of all thing...
