Wouldn't it be something if Al Franken ran for POTUS

At Sunday’s TimesTalk panel for women senators — which featured Senators Susan Collins (R-Maine), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) — Klobuchar said she expects her former colleague and friend to make a comeback.

“He’s had two acts and he’s still going to have a third,” Klobuchar told the crowd of Franken.

Not someone willing to tell one of the greatest deliberative bodies in the world to just hold tight. Wait and see. Hold on. An ethics earring is just months away. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

Love Franken. Don’t kid myself for a second about what happened. This has about as much thought behind it as Gillibrand for President. This will simply be used as a point of further division.

I don’t see the word President mentioned a single time in the article.

EXCLAMATION POINT!

I'd LOVE Al, but he is not a brawler. At this time, I want a FIGHTER with emotion.
Al will take the 'high road' and get slaughtered.

We be so lucky that the re-enters the political scene, to be a surer win.

Still pissed he was shamed into resigning. Very. And just as thankful for what he has done for us.

His last book is loooking at me from the bookshelf. Lying Liars skated the battle in my view. Thankful for his service and very hopeful he may serve again.

But I would support him over ANY of those on "the list" of Democrats who fell for the phony scam of accusations of sexual harassment against him, and urged him to resign. We do not need a nominee that gullible or that susceptible to Republican manipulation.

Al Wouldn't be bad mouthed by this woman in the party..

The disaster regarding Al has already happened...

I see the "no due process fans" are aboard today.

What happened to we need every smart, popular, Dem to run for any office? Oh he's a man. Sorry, I guess only if you are a woman should you run..

If Gillibrand and Schumer and the other part of the list are still in government, Al Franken can still run. I think the former have more of a stain on them than AL.

You can try to keep Al down, but you're gonna lose that battle. Because MN will probably want their Senator back in some form of political place and those of who still STAND WITH AL.

Unfairly or not, he will spend his entire candidacy on the defensive regarding his actions. You can't hand a weakened GOP a gift like that.

What I'd like to see in a few years is Franken run again for the Senate. It'll be the same defensive play, but on a smaller stage. Make his case to the people of the state about what happened and what he's done going forward to address it.
