High speed and volume production scanners

I once worked on a project for a customer that involved using High volume and speed scanners capable of scanning thousands of documents per min, straight to optical based array disk. An OCR search/find then scanned for key words in those documents.
Are Trump's lawyers such dinosaurs that they think the federal prosecutors don't already have a copy of those documents, that they are trying to stop access to?
