Reminder: Hannity had a meltdown because he thought he was on intercepts.

Updated w/ this gem:

#NSA friends tell me they have Hannity in OPERATIONAL calls with known RIS agents. Team Mueller has it all. He is going down. SAD!

@nytimes Any conversation I have with ANYONE is supposed to be PRIVATE. I have NEVER talked to you. Was I surveilled and unmasked by u/NSA?

So many of you are asking about this, I DO NOT know if surveillance and unmasking vs me occurred. If confirmed, I will sue all involved!

NSA was listening to foreign agents, fully within the law since, well, let's see. 2002, 2003? Wasn't there a big media issues back then with the NSA and AT&T, and discussions on who and what could be surveilled?

Legally, if one is talking to said foreign agent, then anything one said was on the NSA tapes and can be used in any case against them - and the American who was talking to that agent.
The law is not set up so that the NSA is forced to report "well, for 20 minutes on this date, Boris Badenov may have been talking about Russian Money laundering and a possible hit job on a City prosecutor and his/her lead investigator and a couple witnesses, but we can't identify the person he was talking to, or record anything that person said because the person is an U.S. citizen...so we can't move to protect any people who we think might be in danger because Boris didn't repeat any of the names, the bank, or the accounts in the conversation that the other person was talking about.
All we can legally record, report, and present to a court from our wiretap on Boris was a "Hallo", fifteen "Yeah"s, six "Uhn-Huh"s, two "Sure, I know a guy"s, "Meet you There", and "Okay, bye".

Privacy goes out the window when there's possible criminal actions or intent involved.

So, Sean, if you weren't saying anything that could be used against you to one Mr. Julian Assange - a foreign citizen - or any other foreign national, then you should have no problems, right?
