Passed By Vegas Massacre Yesterday. Would NEVER Know What Happened There. All Forgotten.

I went by the massacre site in Las Vegas across from the Mandalay Hotel. It is all cordoned off with blue fabric fencing. Would never know that anything happened there. Cannot see anything from the road. And I bet that the land from above is scraped to the sand. Plus it is obvious that there was no place to run for cover in that area except for the stage area. So it is no wonder that there was so much loss of life and so much injury.

Just seems like massacres are just another "normal" event in our society whether it be small or large. Just the way the NRA and its allies want it.

We can hope that things will change in November. But with GOP mischief and election fraud it is hard to know.

There would be memorials everywhere.

Perhaps they'll rebuild and open a gun store on the lot. Guns are big business in Nevada.

There is a short road connecting Las Vegas Boulevard To the less traveled Koval Boulevard that passes just yards away in between a vacant area on the one side and the concert venue on the other side. Both areas have been vacant for a long time.

Lots of VegasStrong decals, lots of businesses that have the VegasStrong motto. I go to Golden Knights games including the playoffs and the VegasStrong vibe is reinforced. People here haven't forgotten. Of course the stage had to be torn down once forensics was done. But as one who had friends at the concert (I myself had been to Life Is Beautiful, one of the possible other targets), I can tell you our city hasn't forgotten.

That is what my comment is mostly about. I am in Vegas right now and have been watching some news.
