Roughly 10 days before material begins flowing from SDNY prosecutors to Cohen defense team.

We're adjourned. And no Michael Avenatti. Perhaps he and Stormy Daniels will speak in front of the courthouse.
Editing to add that overall it sounds as though the judge favored SDNY though she admits that possibly a special master might give more of a perception of fairness.
But she definitely isn't siding with Trump and Cohen.

Hendon doesn't sound like a very good lawyer, and that would be no surprise.

Trump's lawyer Joanna Hendon is still arguing her position that Trump should get the first opportunity to review the seized material from Cohen, before the government.

Hendon also objects to a third-party special master. "We do not think a special master will adequately protect the privilege for the president."

Judge Wood: "I have faith in the Southern District U.S. attorneys office that their integrity is unimpeachable." She says a taint team is a "viable option" but adds that a special master "may have a role here."

(1,439 posts)5. That was the opinion of some of the lawyers on the thread
Others said she was a decent enough lawyer but her case was terrible i.e. a desperate long shot.

(10,126 posts)3. So did Cohen perjure himself providing Hannity's name?
You'd think a lawyer would know who his clients are when he only has 2 or 3 client.
Stormy Daniels shows up to maximize the media coverage.
What a gong show!
Basically, Trump and Cohen had a bad day that could get worse.
So there is almost nothing on Hannity. Broidy is the only other case.
Beyond those two, it's all Trump but limited to what is truly attorney-client that was not criminal (so they kind of get to look at everything).
