act one year. He was pretty good. The following year he did a magic act. I ran into him and said "Didn't you used to be a one man band?" He said "Yeah, we split up. Personality difficulties."

RIP Harry.

Very sad news my first thought was he was not that old.

What a crap shoot it is, Harry dies at 65, men like Carl Reiner, Kirk Douglas, and Norman Lloyd still kicking it right at 100 or even past that.

Social Security as a solution

I guess if they raise the age to collect social security to 99, instead of borrowing from the social security fund to finance their wars, they can just take what they want without having to worry about pay back, or be concerned about those who suggest raising the Social Security Cap as a solution

I was a returning college student pursuing my BA and eventually my MA. I was an “older student” and my most demanding critic. Nothing but perfection was good enough for me so my stress was enormous. I finally figured out that Thursday nights allowed me to escape all things academic for a while and I could stretch out on the couch, relax and just laugh for two hours.

“Night Court” was in the line up for those Thursday nights. My family ate our supper, cleaned up the kitchen and settled in for some hearty laughs. Clad in my jammies, a glass of wine in hand, I found the perfect way to let the stress and worries just wash away. Harry Anderson was such a cool guy who was funny but the stable one who kept things even. The rest of the cast were often going off the rails but not Harry.

It makes me a bit sad to see another piece of my past go away. I see the years of my younger days a little further away in the rear view. Rest In Peace, Harry. You brought happiness and laughter to millions. And that is no small thing.

It’s exactly how I feel about his passing and the feeling that I’m losing so many people and the culture of my past. Those years and those losses go so much faster these days.
