The old district was barely lean republican from what I understand. Blue_true Apr 2018 #21

They're all trumpanzees. Intentionally or by not speaking out. marble falls Apr 2018 #8
He has spoken out and he already said he would not run last year JI7 Apr 2018 #17
Big Anti-Trumper. When he appears on MSNBC, he actually sounds somewhat sane for a repuke. (nm) Elwood P Dowd Apr 2018 #19

that's why God invented lists...

My list for today:

get gas
manicure
the stuff on the grocery list that I didn't get three days ago when I was at the supermarket
remember to TAKE the list to the supermarket
mail bills
call my buddy B.B. and ask him how he is feeling (he's going in for spinal surgery soon)

"Memory is the second thing to go, but I can remember the first," to which the response is "First what?"

Then I discovered the first thing to go: knees.

I think it got re-districted a bit in our favor. He was one of those "nice guy" congresspersons ("he helped Grandpa get his veterans benefits&quot who kept getting re-elected from inertia.

Represents a very purple district during the past. Don't know what redistricting did to it.

It was a huge gerrymandered district in central PA. Has it changed much with redistricting? Any chance for a democrat to win it?

Maybe it will be like Conor Lamb and the parties will select the nominees. The primary is next month, so not enough time to go through that process. They are going to let it go until November.

It took from October to March to replace Tim Murphy via special election.

Honestly, I would prefer no special election, as a non resident observer. Let there be primaries, then pick a Rep in November. I wonder why Dent bailed now instead of last December. Seems odd timing.
