After discussions with my family & careful reflection, I have decided to leave Congress in the coming weeks. Serving the people of #PA15 has been a tremendous responsibility & the privilege of a lifetime.

(8,203 posts)The Republicans who announced they will run for the nomination so far are Dauphin County Commissioner Mike Pries, state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie of Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County Commissioner Marty Nothstein and Scott Uehlinger, a former CIA officer.
The Democratic field so far includes Bill Leiner of Coplay; Allentown pastor Greg Edwards; Allentown solicitor Susan Ellis Wild; Laura Quick, a UPS package car driver from Lebanon County; and David Weidman, a combat veteran from Emmaus who served in the Air Force and Army. Others have said they are considering a run.
Dems need to stay united...

Lamb has already filed to run in the primary for a new reconfigured district but will still represent the old district until January (he was already sworn in for the old seat). I think he will be fine to win the new district.
