Are these "focus groups" of Trump supporters a new phenomena?

I don't recall networks checking in with Obama supporters or Bush supporters periodically as is being done now with Trump supporters, asking them to comment on current events.

Is this new?

It's kind of like they're a rare species or something the way they're courted and given a platform. They're certainly in the minority but still...it's odd.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw that clip aired several times on CNN. I turned it off! PearliePoo2 Apr 2018 #3

I've seen other networks do it too with Trump voters. Sickening.

I can't recall ONE single, focus group interview with people that did NOT vote for donald to check if they had changed THEIR mind and regret their vote for Clinton and were now trump supporters. Why not?
